Our team of event planners enjoy working with venues that can be both a stunning back drop for events as well as providing guests with a memorable experience. This month, we were inspired by one of Melbourne’s latest event spaces, Buxton Contemporary.
Centrally located in Melbourne’s arts precinct in Southbank, Buxton Contemporary is one of Australia’s newest major art museums. The venue’s modern, light and bright spaces across 2 levels, houses some of Australia’s most exceptional art works from the Michael Buxton Collection. Opened in 2018, the venue is the perfect choice for impressive business events. Designed by renowned architects Fender Katsalidis, the venue incorporates several gallery spaces and fully equipped meeting room which can be hired exclusively to create an event experience that your guests will never forget.

The gallery is yours for the duration of your event and your guests can sip champagne whilst experiencing some of the country’s best contemporary art. For an added point of difference, a curatorial address about the exhibition and expert guided tours can be incorporated to inspire and delight your guests.
First Class Facilities
This amazing new venue has hearing impaired monitors, Wi-Fi and disability access. The meeting room is available during the day for up to 80 delegates and the entire venue is available for exclusive use for up to 130 guests, cocktail party style or for a more intimate, very special dining experience.
Day Time Conference
Whilst the venue is open to the public as a gallery space during the day, it’s private meeting room is available for up to 80 guests and is fully equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment to ensure your presentations are impactful.
Private Courtyard
Buxton Contemporary’s private courtyard is the perfect spot to create a feature food station, activation or bar area and is shaded by lush greenery.
Buxton Contemporary is conveniently located to all modes of public transport, parking and is only a short stroll to Melbourne’s CBD.
